Frequently asked questions

What to expect when you call, schedule service, or compare your options.

How soon can you come out?

Most of the time, we can provide same-day service when you call before noon. We do our best to accommodate afternoon and evening calls, too. Availability depends on our schedule.

Normal hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. We accept emergency calls 24/7.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Dallas–Fort Worth, Ellis County, and surrounding cities. Call 972-937-7721 with your address to confirm service availability.

What does a service call cost?

Our normal diagnostic service-call fee is $125. It covers diagnosing the problem. Repairs are priced separately, and the diagnostic fee is not credited toward the repair.

Are replacement estimates free?

Yes. When you request a quote for a new system, the visit to provide that quote is free. You do not need an estimate or recommendation from another company.

We also offer free second opinions specifically about system replacement. A diagnostic visit to find a repair problem is a separate service.

What brands do you install and repair?

We install Daikin and Ducane systems. We repair air conditioners of all brands.

What warranty comes with a new installation?

A new system installed by Control A/C & Heating includes one year of labor coverage and ten years of parts coverage, for both Daikin and Ducane.

The systems initially come with five years of parts coverage. We handle registration for you to extend it to ten years.

What warranty comes with repairs?

All repairs include one year of labor coverage. New replacement parts have at least one year of parts coverage.

Parts replaced under an existing equipment warranty keep its original expiration date. Replacing a part does not restart that warranty. For example, if your system’s parts warranty expires in 2032 and we replace a blower motor under warranty in 2028, that motor’s coverage ends in 2032.

Will I know the repair price before work begins?

Yes. We explain the problem, repair price, and available options in plain language and get your approval before starting the repair. You do not need to know HVAC terminology to understand your choices.

Do you check more than the immediate problem?

Yes. We give your system an overall health check, explain potential trouble spots, and discuss preventive options. Our estimates separate the repair needed now from optional preventive work and upgrades, so you can decide what works for you.

How can I decide whether to repair or replace?

Our Cost to Keep calculator compares the estimated cost of keeping your current system with replacing it. It considers today’s repair, estimated future repairs, potential electricity savings, how long you plan to keep the equipment, and inflation.

Results depend on the numbers entered and are estimates, not guaranteed savings. You can also read our repair-or-replace guide to help compare your options.

Can I get a replacement estimate online?

Yes. Our online replacement estimator provides preliminary base installed pricing for supported setups. You must enter your phone number and email before seeing your quote. Commercial or unusual setups need a personal assessment.

Final equipment sizing and pricing require an on-site assessment.

this is the base installed price, duct work, thermostats, and other upgrades will be an additional price
